The Weathertex range of products have been manufactured in Raymond Terrace, just north of Newcastle since 1939 using a tried and tested method of breaking down and reconstituting timber fibres into a more usable form. This unique manufacturing process produces a superior performing product to tranditional weatherboards which is far more environmentally responsible and boasts a 25 year warranty against rotting, splitting and cracking.

While the standard weatherboards a less expensive, on a per board basis, the slightly more expensive Primelock product produces a superior finish which can be'secret nailed' and has concealed joins. The Primelock boards are much quicker and easier to install and can easily be installed by one person. Primelock also requires much less preparation for painting than the standard Weathertex weatherboards. The extra material cost is more than offset by the labour savings.

All of the Weathtex products are preprimed in the factory which further reduces painting time and costs. The product is very stable so are much less likely to be affected by moisture, spliting and movement of the timber over time, which means less repainting.
